Sad news to announce

It is with great sadness that the AFYM committee announces the death of our AFYM secretary, Lilian Morgan. Lilian joined the committee of AFYM in the very early days, and worked tirelessly for over 20 years on behalf of the festival. For many of those years she produced, single-handedly, nearly all of the festival documentation, including the programme. Lilian knew AFYM as well as anyone and she was a calm and cheerful guiding hand, offering support in order to keep us all on track. Her sensible and considered opinions helped shape the AFYM into the festival it now is, and we will all miss her good and sound advice.
Those of you who knew Lilian well, will have noticed that she was not at AFYM 2020 for much of the festival, as her health had been troubling her. Sadly, during the lockdown period her health deteriorated, and she died on Sunday 9th August. We will all miss her terribly.
