Following the success of this new class last year with string adjudicator Haim Choi, we are extending our “Rehearse with the Adjudicator” session in 2025. This class is where a small group of musicians prepare a piece as a quartet, or trio, or larger ensemble. They will then rehearse with the adjudicator who will also play along with them in the final performance. This is an open class for any age group.
This year, after the success of many of the AFYM participants playing at the Chinese New Year Celebrations at St. Fagan’s, we hope to gather together as many instrumentalists the weekend of the Festival, to play as an orchestra, rehearsing with one of the adjudicators. Music will be prepared so that participants from grade 1 to 8 or beyond will be able to play together. This will be a great experience for all players.
